What can I make with DuoCanvas?
Create photo grids, seamless photo carousels, template collages, freeform photo cuts, freeform photo collages, and top-and-bottom collages with two videos. DuoCanvas is an iPhone app requiring iOS 17 or later.
Is DuoCanvas free? Do I need an account?
DuoCanvas is free to download. All features in the current 3.2 release, including layouts and export quality options, are free to use. No account or subscription is required. Check the App Store listing for current availability in your region; this describes the current release, not a promise about future pricing.
How is DuoCanvas different from other collage apps?
DuoCanvas brings photo grids, single-photo carousels, template collages, hand-drawn photo cuts and layouts, and two-video collages into one iPhone app. In its freeform photo modes, you draw boundaries to divide a photo or canvas into regions. This is different from simply placing overlapping photos on an open canvas. Other apps may offer filters, stickers, text, or publishing tools that DuoCanvas does not include.
Are my photos and videos uploaded?
No. DuoCanvas processes your selected photos and videos on your device. Your projects remain inside the app on that device. Sharing only happens when you choose a destination in the system share sheet.
Can I draw freeform layouts for videos?
Not currently. Freeform cutting and custom-shaped layouts are for photos. Video Collage places two clips in a top-and-bottom layout.
Why are transparent cut pieces different sizes?
Each PNG is cropped to the bounds of its own shape. Different shapes can have different widths and heights. Choose Canvas JPEG when you want a rectangular canvas instead of transparent irregular edges.
How long is an exported video collage?
Both clips start together. The exported MP4 ends when the shorter clip ends. You can use audio from the top clip, the bottom clip, or mute the output.
Can I return to a project later?
Yes. Open a saved project from Recent projects or the Projects list. Projects are stored locally, not synced between devices. Deleting a project or uninstalling the app removes its local files.
Which languages does the app support?
English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, German, French, Korean, Spanish (Spain and Mexico), and Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil). The app follows your supported preferred language; this website is currently in English.
Does DuoCanvas post directly to social apps?
DuoCanvas saves to Photos and offers the iOS share sheet. You choose where to share. The destination app determines its supported file formats, aspect ratios, and posting limits.
